Just caught up with this Ian, what a wonderful post, you are so right, It is only when you lose a parent that you realise what you had and what you miss, I lost my mum in 1996 and my dad in 2012, I would give anything to be able to thank them both for providing me and my brother with a loving upbringing, like most in the 60’s we didn’t have much, but we had a great relationship with our parents.
