You were not wrong. Was drinking 2nd bottle of Champagne as well. Maybe that combined with the steroids I take daily launched me into overdrive!
WTF ! Indeed.
No buyers remorse it. F### it! It’s done. And I will absolutely love No. 2 Rolex. It’s a January thing buying a Rolex. Bought last one at same time.
It should be here Monday before midday. Then I may need to pop down local Rolex dealer and get it adjusted, links fitted. And maybe Champagne to celebrate.
Just be careful when you head into the Rolex store, they do like offering their guests a glass of bubbly, if the sizing takes longer than expected then a glass becomes two and who knows Rolex three might be purchased
Long ago I bought this one for a friend to celebrate some business we did together. Sadly, he died young last year, and his will gifted it back to me. I’ve now loaned it out to another friend who may benefit from feeling the weight of time more firmly on his wrist. (I just can’t pull off a gold Rolex, sadly.)
It’s a stunning watch. I feel in full gold it is very full on. The watch I have bought is a mix of gold and stainless steel and I feel this makes it more understated.
Your gold bluesy is gorgeous, and cleaned up would look a million dollars…
But Rolex watches are never really understated. They are full on and shine like a diamond.
Very, very late, but … Valjoux movements were standard in the Rolex Daytona until 1988, five years after Valjoux was acquired by Swatch and rolled into ETA. So yes, the Daytona ran ETA movements for five years. After 1988, the Daytona ran the Zenith El Primero until around 2000, when the 4130 was released as part of Rolex’s vertical integration strategy.
