Why Humble? Maybe understated, but that’s a strength. Bling free

BLNR today, and likely for the next week or so (the last working week of my life). Enjoy the rest of the weekend, one and all.

Great watch; I’ve got one on a jubilee bracelet. Don’t work too hard in your last week, and have a fantastic retirement (if you’re retiring) :+1:

I’d prefer mine on a Jubilee, tbh, although I had the Oyster’s centre links brushed and reckon it looks like it should have when it left the factory!

Yes, I’m retiring, and thank you very much.

such a coincidence!!! I just posted a thread on the Rolex forums about a retirement gift I am going to choose for myself. Deciding between the GMT and Sub. At first I wanted yours on jubilee but after picking up my first Rolex (a green OP 41) I have really been gravitating towards the Sub. I think that the jubilee bracelet will be too formal/fancy for a daily watch but I love the colours of your bezel so if I can get that one it works too!

Can’t go wrong either way, Ken - good luck snagging whichever you decide on, though. (I haven’t been on TRF for a long time!)

Happy retirement, too (I have… 4 days left ).

I’ve got a year or maybe two but am doing the pre-work now in the hopes of getting this from my AD. Enjoy these next 4 days!!

If you can’t afford a Radikal 2 you can’t have the Sub.

ha ha Jim, the watch is one of my three retirement ā€œprojectsā€. Watch, sofa, Porsche Boxster/Cayman!

Not retiring for a few years but if I want to gift myself with a submariner, I need to place an order soon /-:

Or maybe the updated and reduced in size Polaris

JLC Polaris over a Rolex Submariner for me.

I owned the 124060 Submariner, a lovely watch but I never felt that it was a watch I would keep longterm and I didn’t, it went and I don’t miss it, I’ve tried the Polaris and like it a lot, it may well be in the collection in the not too distant future.
