Took the humble Tissot out for a ride this afternoon.![]()
Nothing humble about a Tissot, great watches.
I knowā¦![]()
Why Humble? Maybe understated, but thatās a strength. Bling free
BLNR today, and likely for the next week or so (the last working week of my life). Enjoy the rest of the weekend, one and all.
Great watch; Iāve got one on a jubilee bracelet. Donāt work too hard in your last week, and have a fantastic retirement (if youāre retiring) ![]()
Iād prefer mine on a Jubilee, tbh, although I had the Oysterās centre links brushed and reckon it looks like it should have when it left the factory!
Yes, Iām retiring, and thank you very much.
such a coincidence!!! I just posted a thread on the Rolex forums about a retirement gift I am going to choose for myself. Deciding between the GMT and Sub. At first I wanted yours on jubilee but after picking up my first Rolex (a green OP 41) I have really been gravitating towards the Sub. I think that the jubilee bracelet will be too formal/fancy for a daily watch but I love the colours of your bezel so if I can get that one it works too!
Canāt go wrong either way, Ken - good luck snagging whichever you decide on, though. (I havenāt been on TRF for a long time!)
Happy retirement, too (I have⦠4 days left
).
Iāve got a year or maybe two but am doing the pre-work now in the hopes of getting this from my AD. Enjoy these next 4 days!!
If you canāt afford a Radikal 2 you canāt have the Sub. ![]()
ha ha Jim, the watch is one of my three retirement āprojectsā. Watch, sofa, Porsche Boxster/Cayman!
Not retiring for a few years but if I want to gift myself with a submariner, I need to place an order soon /-:
Or maybe the updated and reduced in size Polaris
I havenāt seen it but it look like something Iāll need to check out
āitās a Radikal decision lolā! That made my day!
JLC Polaris over a Rolex Submariner for me.
I owned the 124060 Submariner, a lovely watch but I never felt that it was a watch I would keep longterm and I didnāt, it went and I donāt miss it, Iāve tried the Polaris and like it a lot, it may well be in the collection in the not too distant future.
Never knew of that brand. Cheers. V nice
