I have a regular setup I think , TV, Nova , AV receiver , Apple TV.
I used to have a harmony remote that could easily handly loads of devices before I bought the Nova and one remote to rule them all etc. Now with the Zigbee remote it doesnt work with the harmony remote and the flavout of the month seems to be Sofabaton xls or US version. Has qnyone managed to get the zigbee remote to be learn on this all in one device.
I found that out which was a bit disappointing. Wouldn’t work my Atom worked brilliantly on everything else though.
I have Zigbee2mqtt running at home to add non Apple HomeKit devices into HomeKit via Homebridge, if I do a scan I can’t see my NSC 222.
My Zigbee dongle runs at 2.4 Ghz, It could be Naim are using 868 Mhz.
Local Hi-Fi store is suggesting Pro24.r controller will do the job - has anyone used this with the New Naim Unit Atom/ Nova
It’s pretty expensive
Hi, with regard to Zigbee, although the the implementation is controlled by the application to some extent, Zigbee uses 128 bit AES encryption using symmetric keys. Therefore unless I am mistaken, Naim will need to specifically allow third part devices to authenticate in their Zigbee code, otherwise you will need to load a pre shared security key into the new controller.
I suggest you contact Naim support to see if they allow third part controllers to join their Zigbee network, and if so they how are they authenticated into the Naim network.
Zigbee uses modern network security principles, and is way ahead of PANs like Bluetooth which is notoriously insecure, but it does mean therefore it is more controlled what you can or can not do.
Found it this has proprietary software that can only be run by the retailer and they charge for setting it up and then any changes , nope I’ll give that a miss
