Not necessarily. There may be the need for minor updates in future, but for any major changes or added features you are likely correct, judging by how difficult it was to get the Naim Radio function squeezed on to the early platform, which was pretty miraculous really.

Hi Richard, did you mean Thursday to coincide with the lifting of the embargo?
I have it with 2x 555 ps, on Lumin Mini U2 with Ifi power elite ps. Snake Dragon BNC.

The embargo lifts on Thursday but I’m told that the NC firmware 5.4.0 will start to appear before then, maybe later today or tomorrow.

I see some positive notes about the firmware for N.C., so what about the release of 3.13 for us ? Obviously hoping that the improvements in sound in N.C. also proof to be there for us….., as such not interested in Presto….

I activated Presto and then cancelled it so I have 3 months to play around with it. I use the desktop app for my mac. Haven’t compared sound quality to Qobuz but the UI/UX has a lot to wish for compared to the big guys.
The 3.12 sounds excellent to me. What are you looking for from the potential 3.13?

I might be wrong, but isn’t NC 5.4 the first release NC has had since 3.11? So they were a bit late? I think they’re just catching up with 3.12 and 3.13 will just add Presto. Guessing of course…

Actually that isn’t correct. 5.4 has other bug fixes in it. But it’s not for me to tell you what they are.

I am also quite fine with the current firmware. But I would not object if the sound can be further improved.

In terms of releasing a software version for OC and NC that potentially solves the temporary issue with sound quality then 5.4 NC would equal 3.12 in terms of release package if now Naim made similar changes to NC software as OC software related to sound improvement.
