…be warned Mitch, the bass will start rearing its face after a week or 2 this after the boxes have warmed back up. Hopefully it will be all fine and dandy for you. Best Peter
I just blasted Zep 4…talk about bass!
Maybe even the open Richter scale is not able to measure that.
I m sure that there is the official Julian Vereker Scale for that kind of eruptions.
Ok, sounds like a reasonable point, I think I’ve been brainwashed by the eternal naim upgrade path!! As I can’t afford it/dont want to buy it (not that that should apply to anyone that reads this but me) it’s gone to drooling over other people’s systems (and rooms in your case)!
@Ardbeg10y
Cousin indeed! In the background is a Lowrey theater organ which I used to play but is in need of some repair. I have not yet found someone who can both do it and get parts.
Ah a theatre organ. I’m a classical organist myself, but I know a bloke back from my study days who loves to improvise on theatre organs for silent movies and also sports matches. That’s an art which is sadly disappearing these days.
Sad but true. This model was from the early 80’s and was quite expensive at the time.
Well Mitch…
Hi @Mitch,
I wonder if you have visited Mike Lavigne system. He has several top turntables and master tapes machines.
He lives in the US.
OMG!!! So how does one become friends with Mr. Lavigne? LOL What an incredible set-up!!!
Looks like 1st, 2nd and cattle class seating !
That’s ok. I’m not proud. I’ll gladly sit cattle class in that room!
Yes, I have not observed it.
I don’t know how I’ll EVER be able to listen to my crappy system again!
You will not even enter without handing a good scotch
That part would not be a problem!
Don’t exaggerate, we even don’t know if it will sound better. But the general room is indeed very impressive.
