Album Chart Dec 1976

Cough, cough….

And I have an original copy on vinyl, I cleaned it just a few weeks ago. I think I’ll pull it out tonight.

Derek & Clive live. Ah schoolboy memories - I don’t think it could happen these days

There were lots of absolute shockers in 1976, no wonder punk happened and as someone earlier said, thank God for the Sex Pistols

It can happen these days. Myself and a friend got tucked into a bottle of single malt last night listening to it :joy:

The three that I’ve had;

  • A Day at the Races
  • The Song Remains The Same
  • Derek and Clive Live

DG…

Listening to it yes, I did so not so long ago for a bit of nostalgia, but making it? and then it selling so well as to make the album charts, I don’t think so.

My school friend is a well known orchestral musician. His father inexplicably introduced us to Derek and Clive.

Try reading back three posts……got it on LP and on CD. A classic live album.

Ok…….and the LP?

Pretty tame compared to ‘Ad Nauseum’. Revolting cover art !

Yes, horrible…

We still have 10 near mint vinyl LP albums from the OP’s TOP 30 list from 1976.

If we only owned 10 albums, that might be a bit disappointing in 2024… :joy:

It’s an omelette in a bag…

In 1976, The Scorpions’ Virgin Killer cover was truly horrible.

That tends to suggest they haven’t been played an awful lot, so perhaps never your most popular albums!?

Plus a set of false teeth if my memory is correct !

In keeping with the demographic of the Forum, then. Derek & Clive were prescient
