Another 'New' website design?

Just clicked on the Naim website and its changed, seems to be more brand focused, anyone else noticed a change?

Now off to explore the site.

It was a big thing a few months ago

I agree it was but it seems to have changed again?

Sorry I assumed they wouldn’t do major changes again so soon. Well this will be fun :joy:

Looks like the landing page is updated, but otherwise seems much the same … to me…??

Still No Serial Numbers…

And from the way they have structured that page it looks like a conscious choice.
The Powerline Lite is now showing as an accessory.

I’ve seen this come up a few times on different threads, what is the issue with serial numbers?

There used to be a list linking numbers to years of manufacture, so it was easy to date something you were considering buying used. The current solution is that one contacts customer services and asks. You’d think it would be more efficient to just add the list to the website and save someone having to answer emails, but it seems not.

Perhaps we haven’t mentioned it enough times over the past few years

Thanks for clarifying, I agree it would be more logical to just have the details as a page on the website.

That assumes this is an intentional omission. The rest of the text is exactly the same as on the old website which included the list of numbers by date.

There used to be - on the current website - and on the previous one(s) - a list of Serial Nos vs Year of Manufacture.

Quite recently, the list was removed. We have been advised this is temporary.

We Will See…

Very tricky to learn about the advantages of the optional NPX300 from the 200/300 landing pages. Even under ‘Power Supplies’ there’s no mention of 333/332 compatibility.

I seldom visit the Naim site but was finally tempted to update my Unitiqute 2

Usefully, the latest PC update 4.6 link leads to ERROR 404 - which is as much as one seems to be able to hope for.

Oh dear, you seem to have missed the boat Adam…

It’s 4.8 you want Adam. That’s probably not there either though.

I tried the updates page

It has a link to streaming products, which is a PDF

That links to a Windows or Apple document, which is another PDF

Which links to a download for the 4.8 firmware, which opens the Naim website updates page…

Ridiculous.

Thanks for that. I’d been there a few weeks ago - probably at a forum (rather than website) suggestion.

Did you actually get to a download in the end? A page, linking to a PDF, that links to another PDF, that links back to the website seemed like someone was deliberately trying to be obstructive. Even if the final link was to a valid download it would be a really poor user experience

Hope you get it sorted anyway

Hopefully it will be sorted out once there’s a new group digital marketing manager in place and Naim’s recommendations for the website can be properly implemented.
