I’m a complete convert and agree with you. My system is everything I always wanted it to be and more with the addition of Ansuz. As I said at the start of this thread, I consider Ansuz to be as much a part of my system as Linn and Naim. I used to think power and interconnects were secondary, but I now realise they are just as important as the main components.
Who am I kidding. I’ve plugged it straight in! Increasingly blown away. Each Ansuz cable I add simply adds more and more music and more and more dynamics. Where the D2 XLRs added presence and character, the C3 power cord has just made everything sound so much cleaner and refined. Instruments are much clearer and separated but I’m also hearing the production effects on tracks at a really granular detail. Especially echoes and reverbs. It’s just crazy. I’ve still got to add my now ‘spare’ X2 cable to the XTC switch. That will complete the loom. Better get back to the house work now though and make some progress ![]()
Ps. I know it’s really bad to have the distributor on its side like this. No option until I have the funds to change the unit I’m using as a hifi stand.
You’ve been Ansuzed!
I know the feeling. Sick cables. Box level upgrade every time.
Full loom is now plugged in. It’s just a really complete sound now. Love it!!!
Nice! I just use the ones Kudos provide on my 505s. Does this mean I haven’t really got a full loom??? ![]()
100% not full loom! Happy hunting! ![]()
At one point in time I had on loan for several months the following
3 Diamond power cables
1 pair of Diamond speaker cable
1 C2 interconnect
1 Ansuz switch (which I did not use since I was using straight wi-fi at the time).
The power cables especially were a large step over the Pangea I had before. But at the time I was unconvinced by the speaker cables being any improvement over the Cardas ones I had been using.
But (and this is a BIG but)… the playback of the system was compromised by a broken DAC (yes, the PCB had hairline cracks that caused intermitttend distorsion and signal loss) and I very much doubt that I was hearing a small fraction of what the Ansuz really could do.
I only traced (literally) the problem after the Ansuz was returned, and shortly after got a fully functioning DAC that made my previous one sound…broken.
I wish I could try that Ansuz loom again, now I have a fully functioning system.
But even in context of a broken system, the effect of the Diamond power cables was unmistakeable.
Sounds like a great set-up! I agree it is a shame you could not hear things with a fully working DAC, but it sounds like you experienced the same as myself and the rest of the Ansuz owners here. I am up and listening to music whilst exercising and I remain mesmerized at the stunning level of clarity, detail, punch, presence, atmosphere, sound stage etc etc etc. ![]()
So the atc gonna be the new speaker for the current set up ? ![]()
Get the jumper !!! ![]()
Haha, nope. I have ZERO funds left and need to save up for a new HiFi unit/stand. I wouldn’t mind some more C3 power cords after experiencing what this one has done to my Selekt though. I bet they would add a lot of punch to my 350s!
So…despite having zero funds left, I somehow managed to buy another nearly new, second hand C3 power cord…I know. It just arrived and I have plugged it into my XTC switch. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Wow, that did the trick
I think @Blackbird had a similar experience plugging an A3 cord into his higher spec, D2 switch. Very impressive.
Cool! So you stole it? ![]()
Yes I found my A3 made the biggest impact on my D2 switch ![]()
Hehehe, no I just used my emergency funds pot! I couldn’t resist as it was such a great price for a new cable. He had three available. I got the first one and then this second one. I was hoping the third would still be available come pay day, but someone else snapped it up straight away. They must have panicked when they saw they were all going…
The guy I bought my XTC switch off said they demanded a decent power cable and I now know what he means. It didn’t sound bad with the X2 cable, but the C3 has taken it to another level.
Account now renamed to emergency HIFI funds ![]()
True that ![]()
lol ![]()
Btw , anyone knows what ANSUZ means ?
