Any update on the vtuner outage please Jan 2025

Hi, does anybody have an update on vtuner please. I have a Pioneer X-Hm71 that has no Network Radio says Server error. I bought it in 2012 but it has always worked fine until around Christmas 2024.

Hi @Teleman52 , welcome to Naim and the forum

As I understand it … VTuner have stopped their free internet radio service.
I’m not sure about a workaround for Pioneer, maybe there is a way for you to subscibe and get the service, maybe others know how or maybe you can find a www search solution.

As for vTuner and Naim …
Naim’s iRadio service thats been provided by vTuner since the getgo is still operating for the 1st Gen (Green Screen) streamers, but not for much longer.
Naim are in the process of introducing an inhouse service thats already setup for the current streamers and soon for the 1st gen streamers. And from what I’ve seen/heard/read of it, its a country mile better than the old vTuner.
Suggest you consider bying a Naim streamer and get the latest and best Naim Internet Radio

I have no internet radio on my 1st Gen qB. Is anyone else experiencing the same ? Let’s hope Naim can provide a firmware update soon to enable older units to connect to the in house servers.

Same here, no radio on Superuniti

I can confirm that I can’t get internet radio on SuperUniti. Not just the BBC (who make it as difficult as they can ), but all channels. It isn’t the unit, as I have two and it isn’t the internet as that connects fine. VTuner reliability does seem pretty awful and has been for a long time. A pity as that is what I mostly use my Naim kit for.

Just checked my 272 and sure enough no radio/vtuner. It was working earlier. Must be another outage! Roll on new Naim bespoke system….please😉

No internet radio on Uniti2 nor Qb1 (neither BBC stations nor any other). Was working earlier today.

No service on my NDX since about 3 hours ago.

I guess us legacy customers are now limited to the options of Tidal/Qobuz or UPnP server connections until such times as a firmware update arrives for the new Naim radio thing?

Here’s hoping.:crossed_fingers:

Dry January will now morph into Dry 2025🥲

Out in Belgium, too, on my Uniti2.
Was working a few hours ago.

Out for me too. I lost some stations a while ago after the firmware update now they’ve all gone today. Getting a bit tired of this and sudden lack of connectivity to say the least.

Outage coincides with end of the month🫣 have they left the building and turned the lights off😆

And in NZ too.

1st of Feb. Hmmmm. Hopefully that’s not significant.

Vtuner on my Denon CEOL is working fine. But I pay a (minimal) licence fee annually.

Same here from my 1st gen ND5XS

Hmm I had not had vTuner access on my NDX and UQ2 in quite a while. I noticed it a couple months back. I had assumed it had been dropped or new geoblocking had come in place.

As I mostly use radio on the Qb2 and another non Naim system it didn’t bother me and I thought little of it … Until now. Both simply show no radio stations found at all.

Same problem with all my green screen devices. Fortunately, I recently bought a (fabulous) UnitiAtom HE. I can tune in on that using Naim’s new service and use multi room to get it to to other devices.

Hi All,

Just adding another user here (Qb) without any internet radio stations this AM. Have switched to internal network server playback.
