I’ve always quite liked the Alt J cover - nice pattern, its a radar image of the Ganges river delta apparently.
FACT 10 (June 1979), design by Peter Saville. The now-famous image was taken from The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Astronomy and is an illustration (colours reversed) of the intensity of successive radio pulses from pulsar CP-919, created by astronomer Harold Craft.
You could probably include most Factory or 4AD covers in this thread
