PMJ - featuring Morgan James singing ‘It’s a man’s, man’s, man’s world’ by the legendary James Brown. This is massively enriched by the harp and cello. Stunning arrangement & delivery IMV.
Some brilliant stuff on here guys.
I’ve just received the vinyl.
I’ve had it on vinyl for a couple of weeks. I think it’s incredible - stripped back to the basics and all the better for it. Particularly enjoy the tribute to Peter Green.
OK here is Rick Beato the coolest guitar music guru on YouTube! In this episode Rick looks at Christopher Cross’s killer guitar solo at the end of Ride Like The Wind…
Rick is a brilliant musicologist.
Thanks, that was great.
Talk Talk - I Believe In You
This is indescribably wonderful on so many levels…except as a pop single. But EMI, mostly horrified by the album (Spirit Of Eden), demanded a single and a video, so Mark gave them this. It’s half the album length, Mark does his best not to crack up until the end of the song, where he’s smiling.
One of my top ten albums, one of my favourite songs. Much missed.
