Looking through the relatively few 90s albums I bought, these stand out…

Walter Trout; Transition and Prisoner of a Dream
Deacon Blue - Whatever you say say nothing
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Hootey and The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View.
Foo Fighters - The Colour and The Shape
Barenaked Ladies - Stunt
George Martin - In My Life
Richard Thompson - Mock Tudor

Out of that lot Stunt was the regular go to for longer than most, so that wins. Superb album.

I am not sure if these are truly the Best Albums of the 90’s but albums I had bought during that time frame and enjoyed and played quite a bit. I lived in Texas for a few years during the 90’s and attended quite a few concerts and that had a heavy influence on some of my choices for this time period.

Tom Petty - Wildflowers
Bob Dylan - Time Out of Mind
R.E.M - Out of Time
Sinead O’Connor - I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got
Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
Mary Chapin Carpenter - Come On Come On
Garth Brooks - No Fences
Vince Gill - I Still Believe In You
Trisha Yearwood - Trisha Yearwood
k. d. lang - Ingénue

Metallica The Black Album. Immense album. This is my opinion of course but as one of the best selling albums in the world (maybe the best selling album from the 90’s) a lot of people may tend to agree :grimacing::joy::grimacing:

A great decade really, from 1991, U2 Achtung Baby and RT Rumour and Sigh started the decade well. 2 albums that still get frequent spins. 1999 ended well with the White Stripes first album, which I really should listen to more.

There were many good offerings in between also, mentioned in the thread.

It has Dry Rain on it, is there a better bass line !

Such a great mix of styles, Rap, Folk, Electronic

It inspired Radiohead amongst others
