Best internet radio anyone?

Is there any psychedelic blues- rock station from the 60s and 70s years? i would like to get inf`

If you enter “psychedelic” into Naim Radio or vTuner search it comes up with about ten stations including 24-7 Psychedelic Rock.

Any flac on those 10 staions you mantion?

No, not that I am aware.

Flac stations such as Radio Paradise, PureClassix and SuperStereo are general pop/rock stations with some psychedelic content.

Motherearth radio is dead?! :sleepy:

Looks like it.

@Stevesky has posted that vTuner have now sorted their problem of last couple of days.

Hi All,

ref: Mother Earth Radio.

Based on their website it looks like they have run out of money to keep it running.
We’ll keep the station listing for another month, but if it goes nowhere then we’ll remove it from the Hidef section.

Gladys Palmera

Hello, is anyone else having trouble connecting to this Latin station?

It is not playing on vTuner.
It is OK on Airable so likely a changed URL issue @Stevesky
It is quite a happy station - I think Robert Plant would like (some of) it.

Fantastic. Thanks for the heads up

Hi all,

It should be working now. VTuner are recovering their database and they’re doing most popular first to minimise impact.

Thank you! Gladys Palmera is back in action, I’ve got my tropical tunes to listen to whilst this hot weather lasts.

My other Spanish rock station (and flamenco, bossa-nova, ska and thrash) is RNE radio 3 - are all the RNE stations not connecting for the same reason?

Hi @Legume

Rne 3 is now fixed. VTuner are slowly recovering the situation and hopefully by early next week it should be all back to normal.

Best

Steve

Another endorsement for FIP. I was only introduced to it recently. Good, eclectic mix of music and has the additional benefit that when they read the news I cannot understand what they are saying (so my stress levels remain low)

Now seems back from the dead on their website. @Stevesky

@Stevesky, out of curiosity, if for whatever reason vtuner went permanently belly up, do Naim have any contingency plans for implementing, via firmware, another provider such as tunein or whatever? It seems vtuner is very imbedded in the Naim line up.

What would be absolutely fabulous would be if the naim app could add internet radio urls manually, without relying on naim.vtuner.com

With the recent aggregator and vTuner issues we’ve been using other apps to access internet radio. For example radiodroid can share any stream to a naim device via bubbleupnp app

Have realised that when aggregators lose or geolocation blockers deny access to stations that it is trivial to use other apps to get working urls. If only we could store these easily via the app…

Keeping abreast of the many and regular changes, additions and cessations of radio stations is a big job as evidenced by posts in this topic and elsewhere. A bit like painting the Forth Bridge. Naim seem to do a good job in handling and resolving the many issues with vTuner. Take a bow @Stevesky
I doubt they would want to take on this task when there are providers who specialise in it.
P.S. TuneIn is now a disaster in the UK.
