The Latin music station has been flaky and out of action recently but now seems restored.

Big Indie Radio

They play music from unsigned indie bands.
The station is run by volunteers.
Very few ads, if any.

SuperStereo 1 is my daily driver.

My favourite stations are Club Radio (Jazz, Soul, Funk and more) https://www.club.radio/ and The Face Radio („The soul of Brooklyn“): https://thefaceradio.com/

I’ve just discovered Jazz Groove radio channel due to posts here. What a great channel for jazz lovers like me  Strange thing it streams 128kbps but sounds like magic. hmmm… Things are not always as you think it should.

There’s no way getting lossless of this channel into my naim system?

Yes there is.
The Jazz Groove has a subscription service providing 5 lossless channels.
Look at the website as there are instructions for Naim users.

BUT you need to check your system supports “lossless radio” - the latter Naim streamers do but not 1st Gen streamers as I understand it.

Radio Paradise Rock mix seems to be down?

Seems Ok in UK

Indeed, working again now. Was off for at least 24hrs Sunday evening and yesterday. Hopefully sorted now :grinning:

I’ve started paying for Jazz Groove FLAC and run it through Audirvana Radio adding the link, saving it as a playlist and off goes. I get PCM 44.1/1411kb/s to my NDS. Sounds great!

FYI. Got this email from Jazz Groove. No idea how this will work on iRadio on naim products (128kbps) but sounds like this is global for all non members. I do recommend becoming a member though. Great jazz channels in FLAC (you get 5 or so jazz channels as a member)

Beginning Saturday 15/7, it will be important for Jazz Groove members like you to sign in or set up the device you use to listen. If you’ve done that, thank you; you won’t be impacted by changes that begin on Saturday.

But, if you’re not signed in or your device isn’t yet set up, our software can’t recognize you as being a member. You’ll want to be identified as a member because beginning Saturday, non-members will have limited access to The Jazz Groove (here’s why). As long as you’re signed in or have set up your device, your unlimited listening is protected.

*Listening from our website or our iOS/Android mobile app? Here’s how to tell if you are signed in. *

*If you’re not listening from our website or iOS/Android app, it’s imperative that you take action before Saturday. We can protect your unlimited listening, only if our software recognizes you as a member. To do that, take a moment to set up the device you use to listen. Set up usually takes about one minute when you follow the steps here.

We’ve fallen short of our goal in this fund drive because fewer than 1% of our 350,000-400,000+ listeners have contributed. Therefore, we’re cutting back the amount of unlimited listening available to non-members.
You’re a Jazz Groove member if you have donated $100 or more in the past year or donate $10 or more a month. Unlimited listening is guaranteed for Jazz Groove members who are signed in and/or have set up the device they use to listen (members also receive all of these benefits).
If you’re not a member, beginning July 15th, unlimited listening will end. You’ll still be able to listen for free but it will be limited (example 30-60 minutes per day).
Why? Unlike FM radio, online radio stations like The Jazz Groove are required by law to make micropayments for each and every song each listener streams. With hundreds of thousands of listeners those licensing fees + other expenses such as bandwidth are significant. And, as a 100% listener-funded radio service (we have no ads and take no government grants), it’s not fair to listeners who have contributed to provide an open-ended subsidy to those who haven’t. Donate to become a member now.
he Jazz Groove is built on idealism…on the honor system; the idea you’ll see the fairness in helping pay for what you use. You’ve made the Jazz Groove a part of your life. Now please make it a part of your budget. We’ll thank you for your tax-deductible donation with unlimited listening + all the other benefits of a Premium Plus membership.

Octave Radio - a new radio

station being setup by PS Audio.
It is fully working but under further development.
URL https://octaverecords.out.airtime.pro/octaverecords_a

Excellent SQ and now on Roon
or you can add the URL to Naim V-tuner.

It is also now on Linn Airable.
I think @Stevesky needs to work his magic with V-Tuner!

Hi @Paul_C

Thanks for the link. Once there is a bit more details ref website etc. I’ll ask VTuner to add it.

I noticed that the feed is quite low audio quality at MP3 192kbit for a Hifi company. Do you know if there is a better quality feed? I tried the _b and _c variants airtime but the quality just gets lower.

Best

Naim Audio Ltd.

The mp3/192 link is the only one they announced.
SQ is excellent no doubt as they have the DSD masters.
Maybe a flac link at a future date.
The station info I have is at https://www.psaudio DOT com/blogs/pauls-posts/octave-radio

Dear all,

I need your help!

There is this radio stream I love to listen to: http://listen.radionomy.com/absolutechillout

Long time ago I set this one up in Roon Live Radio as absolutely chillout radio, but I think I got that wrong as it is a different station.

The radionomy website is about to close as they are now part of ShoutCast and I still haven’t figured out to which station I am now actually listening to. There are no promos, no advertisement and the Roon stream shows only the artist/song playing and that is it.

Can someone figure out which stream this now actually is, so I can add this station to my favourites and create a preset on the Naim Atom HE?

THANKS!

BR,
Richard

Looks to me it is Jamendo Lounge
Lounge Radio | Jamendo Music | Free music downloads

Only URL http://streaming.radionomy.com/JamendoLounge

That is what I thought as well, but none of their streams plays the same music as my stream… :slightly_frowning_face:

It may start at different points if they employ playlists.

Hmmm, did not yet look at it from that perspective. Thanks!
