I think you’ll find the word you’re looking for is “stereotypes".

Anyway, back to it:

Possibly but stereotype is a bit reductionist. Archetype might indicate a true observed pattern

An Englishman, a Scotsman, an Irishman, a Frenchman, a German, an Italian, a Swede, a Norwegian, an American, a Mexican, an Israeli, an Australian and a Korean all go to a nightclub.

The bouncer refuses them entry, saying ‘You’re not coming in here without a Thai.

An exasperated mother, whose son was always getting into mischief, finally asked him, ‘How do you expect to get into Heaven?’

The boy thought it over and said, ‘Well, I’ll run in and out and in and out, and keep slamming the door until St. Peter says, ‘For Heaven’s sake, Dylan, come in or stay out!”

My wife complained that I never treat her as I did when we were going out before we were married.

So last night, I took her for a romantic meal, watched the sunset with her and then went to the movies sitting on the back row holding hands and canoodling.

When we left, I gave her a kiss and took her home to her mother’s.

“Poor old bloke,” thought the fella as he watched an old man fish in a puddle outside a pub. So he invited the old man inside for a drink.

As they sipped their whiskies, the guy thought he’d humour the bloke and asked, “So how many have you caught today?”

He replied, “You’re the eighth.”

I was at a pub in Lincoln’s Inn yesterday.

A couple of lawyers walk in.

They order drinks and move to a table, then take some sandwiches out of their briefcases.

Seeing this, the angry publican exclaims, “Excuse me, but you can’t eat your own sandwiches in here!”

The two lawyers look at each other, shrug their shoulders, and then exchange sandwiches.

A man was sitting in the bar in departures at Manchester airport. A beautiful woman walks in and sits down at the table next to him. He assumes, because she’s got a uniform on, she’s probably an off-duty flight attendant. So he decides to have a go at picking her up by identifying the airline she flies for, thereby impressing her greatly.

He leans across to her and says the Delta Airlines motto, “We love to fly and it shows.”

The woman looks at him blankly. He sits back and thinks up another line. He leans forward again and delivers the Air France motto, “Winning the hearts of the world.”

Again she just stares at him with a slightly puzzled look on her face. Undeterred, he tries again, this time saying the Malaysian Airlines motto, “Going beyond expectations.”

The woman looks at him sternly and says,”What the fcuck do you want?”

“Ah!” he says, sitting back with a smile on his face, “British Airways”
