Has to be cream first
Depends if you are in Devon or Cornwall!?
Jam first!!
If I’m honest, I couldn’t care less as long as I get a good cream tea.
Noooo!
Jam first great foundation for the cream .
No - cream first - it is functions as butter - stops the jam soaking into the scone. Large dollop of clotted cream, a small dollop of jam on top. No need to spread things around much.
I’ve just had this vision of cream on both sides and jam in the middle.
Cream came before Jam.
Sip of tea,
Scone, Butter, Jam, Cream,
Sip of tea …
Butter? BUTTER??
Butter? You jest I hope.
Oh dear, oh dear ! I thought it was my handsome appearance that attracted all those glances whilst enjoying afternoon tea when in Cornwall. But i’m beginning to have slight doubts …
Now for cream tea aficionado’s how about a bit of Thunder and Lightning? Or more commonly known as eating a heart attack.
A scone and tea at half past three, makes the day a little brighter.
So you can keep your cakes and fancy tarts …and stick them up your shiter.
There I was, thinking ‘oh, 20 new posts in the Best Jokes thread, that should be worth looking at for a chuckle’.

What’s the fastest cake in the world?
Scone.
