Yes I agree here too. I was sent BJC 6a full loom by mistake (on their part) and have been rather pleased by that shipping mistake to say the least. It’s worked out for me as I won’t be purchasing anymore either.
Stephen, I thought you were back on the Vodka!
Nigel, I’m still on the Vodka but starting to feel the need for some Valium
Indeed, and I am supposed to be taking bets on how this ends…but will it ever end?
The Valium was the BJ cat 6a for me
Nicely brought back on topic FR!
1 D sooner, Stephen was questioning a full loom vodkas 💁
Stephen can be represented by all the emojis faces from my keyboard
Here here. Been on the BJCs 6a for a week with Cisco switch. Pleasantly surprised, delighted with the sound and performance. Lovely sound and detail, zero drop outs. Actually listening to loads of music and loving it, rather than obsessing about tweaks on these forums
that’s crazy!
Glad to hear it’s all ready for Christmas!
Only one problem with your comment: had mugs like me not disappeared up their rear ends to listen to BJC Cat5e, Cat6 and then Cat6a, reporting and concurring that in their systems the 6a sounded much better, you wouldn’t have had such a simple option… I think that’s one of the advantages of this forum. Messages from beyond the ring…
Ah, Mike, but you make a choice and then move on. Others fiddle and fiddle and fidd…
…le and fiddle and fiddle and…

A BJC Cat 6a full loom here now. Vodka is back it’s box. I shan’t be reconnecting it again.
I have to say it really has taken an age for my BJC full loom to come on song, a lot longer than I ever imagined it would take. It stayed boring for a very long time but has at long last started to open up. In my experience I suggest a hell of a lot of run in is highly recommended if it all sounds a bit dull.
Just ordered a full loom of 6A BJC. Also ordered the Canare XLR’s to use with my new Vandersteen M7-HP crossover. Waiting for the new Subwoofer 3 from RV.
That’s funny - mine sounded very good straight away, and slowly got better for a week or three.
But then I was replacing really nasty wires, whereas you had posh ones beforehand.
Yup. My BJC 6a from router to switch and from NAS to switch were fine from the off but the one from switch to streamer proved more challenging, especially when up against the Vodka. Now that cable has finally caught up. So now the full loom. It was driving me nuts at one point (all the swapping around between Vodka and BJC on the final leg).
Well done to hold on and keep at it.
With previous Ethernet cables I got fed up after two or three days 24 hour playing and sent them back, probably prematurely.
My BJC 6a sounded just right straight out of the packet. Weeks later and now they sound… ermm…just right!
Who would have thunk it…
