Careful with the new Software! Volume goes to 100%!

Just to weigh in on the option (or lack of) to use a slider:

It appears on my Atom HE and Muso 2, but it is absent on ND5XS2 and NDX2

I’m using android.

I wondered if it might be linked to having system automation enabled (as it is on both the full size boxes), but I disabled it and the option for a slider did not appear.

Why do you keep saying it’s fixed when others have stated the issue also exists with iOS? I quoted Paul with my iOS issues days ago and he ignored it completely.

If you have iOS, it hasn’t been fixed and they aren’t addressing it directly for some reason.

“Keep saying”? I am quoting from Paul’s post over on the other thread - see my post above.

If you are experiencing a similar issue in iOS have you been in contact with Naim support? What did they advise?

So others report their issue here, there is a full thread about it, Paul is here discussing it in relation to Android, and you direct me to Naim support?

FYI…I’ve never found Naim support to be much help even though they act like they’re trying. I still have issues with my 332 that haven’t been resolved in well over a year and that is after sending it to be repaired at Naim NA.

Yes, notifying support is the best way to let Naim know of an issue.

I’d guess that Paul is not aware of it being an issue with iOS like it is with Android (the post above from Lio84 mentions it happened a few weeks back - before the update), so it could well be something else at play. Notifying Support and providing them with as much info as you can will allow Naim to get to the bottom of it.

iOS is certainly fine for me. I’ve tested every button press sequence I could think of. If it was a general iOS issue then loads of people would have mentioned it, which they haven’t.

What is considered “loads”? Numerous people have stated they’ve had an issue with the volume jumping on iOS. With me it was maybe 5-6 fast volume up presses that caused the volume to jump 50+ steps. Even if you held the button down it wouldn’t have jumped 50 steps in such a way.

Either way, people should be aware. Naim surely isn’t going to take accountability for ruining customer’s speakers.
