If someone knocks on the door or I need to stop the music quickly for another reason it’s a lot quicker and easier to pick up the remote and press the mute button. With the app I need to pickup my phone, unlock it, open the Naim app, select the streamer, if it’s not already on it, and then pause or mute the music. Same with increasing or decreasing the volume.

The CI 102 has Dante capability.
Adding a Dante interface device from Audinate to a roon server should then make the roon stream available to the CI 102 over the network. Roon would ‘see’ the Dante adaptor in the Roon Audio device settings.
This advice came from Antipodes when I asked them were they considering adding Dante capability to their servers.
Audinate are the developers of Dante which is widely used in commercial music e.g. studios, concerts.

Had a look at a couple of UK dealer listings. Perhaps I’m blind but I can’t seem to see inclusion of a remote?

It looks splendid.
If I didn’t already have Atom in upstairs TV setup, this could be my choice.
The former “Install” designation scared many off I bet, too complicated.
Just four rubber feet and a remote changed this, along with a bit marketing.
Where is it made ?
The N50 doesn’t have remote capability . Are you confusing it with your CD5 ?
I didn’t say a remote wasn’t more convenient.
Does anyone know if this is an infrared, Bluetooth or Zigbee remote?

I have spoken to Peter Tyson. They should be available in about a weeks time at a price of @£59. There was a firmware update to the Focal Naim App last night and the remote configuration button is visible, along with a mini graphic equaliser.

In my humble opinion, the Naim CI 102 is a minimalist, extremely practical, high-quality, and powerful device, and with these accessories it becomes truly outstanding. A very nice touch of refinement

Is this effectively an all in one like the Atom, Nova etc? Just add speakers/turntable?
At 150 watts into 8 ohms it sounds like a very good product at a good price.

yes it would be interesting to see how it stacks up against the Nova PE in terms of SQ, less inputs and no screen but at the price delta would you care?
