CI 102 now with remote

No turntable (unless it’s one with a built in phono stage) but a HDMI and a Co-axial/Optical option .
If I go down a possible road I may have to get something like an iFI USB DAC and feed the analogue input .

an additional improvement is the 4-band equalizer the user can operate.

would a rca switchbox be a solution for multiple inputs ?

I have a friend who’s considering a CI 102 to anchor a second system. I’d be interested to hear any observations about SQ particularly vis-a-vis the Atom or Nova and any speaker pairing suggestions.

I think if you type CI Uniti 102 you might get some feedback

Just go to the search engine in the top right hand corner of your page
The 102 is class D, so should drive most speakers , though there are some comments about it’s subtlety against that of the Atom ( which is twice the price)
I think Steve Sells (who was very heavily involved in its design) was very pleased with it

Having heard the CI 102 a few times with a few different speakers, for the money it is a cracking little streamer amp. This kit makes it a viable option for a relatively cheap system, even a good sounding mullet system as a step toward a system with a better front end.

Thanks. Appreciate the input.

Of course; 32Bit 384kHz

Actually it would be a surprise if the designer was unhappy with result.

Yeah as I understand it has one analog input.

I’d love trying it - if positive, it would be in a leaque of itself, as most (if not all) class D amps I’ve heard, were grey and lifeless.

How many times have you said exactly the same thing…. Perhaps you should try a few more, listening using Class D amplifiers and it’s not remotely grey and lifeless. Of course, you know better.

Any mention of how the remote communicates? Bluetooth, zigbee, IR ?

I still can’t find a decent remote for my LP12.

Can’t Narfi help you?

It’s a problem for sure and a big oversight on Linn’s part they they decline to include one in the box. I kind of suspect that they know it doesn’t work too well with remotes so that’s why they don’t bother. They really should make this clear in their literature. When I had my LP12 many years ago it wouldn’t even play 45’s without minor surgery!

A quick note on nomenclature: it would appear fortunate that the third vowel of the English language has been inserted multiple times?

Nor Narcom neither!

How’s that again?!!? Anyway not a problem - you feel free to insert it wherever it takes your fancy!

I doubt it’s IR, more likely BT or Zigbee. I have asked Naim and will post when I hear back.
