That’s a good description.
Although with long-standing bands with many changes of personnel it’s an interesting discussion. I’ve heard Simon Nicol describe Fairport Convention as an entity he expects to keep going, and that even after he’s left he thinks it will carry on and to him it’ll still be Fairport.
