I’m seeing the Lips the Saturday before that at Dreamland in Margate. Support from the Beta Band so should be a good night
Yep!
Yeah I wondered about Margate, but turns out it’s my work weekend. So Somerset has to do!
The Lips are amazing if you haven’t seen them before
So far I have:
Handsome Family in May
Michael Shannon in September (With his REM covers band)
Both at the Brudenell in Leeds
They certainly are. This will be our third time. The only band I see more is Ese and The Vooduu People, but they’ve become friends and are local to us so that’s inevitable.
I like Handsome Family too. I’ll have to look that gig up. Could maybe arrange time in Leeds (my wife has family there).
I didn’t know anything about this, seems an intriguing concert, so drumming up interest for the Manchester date.
Three on my list already for 2026.
Voivod, likely Southampton in June, Surfragettes, Brighton, September
The Darts (US), tbc but Nov or Dec I believe.
I do have very varied tastes!
Remi Harris in June….
They toured a year or so back doing Murmur. This time it’s Life’s Rich Pageant.
They played Athens the other night and had 2 actual REM members on stage.
Puccini Madama Butterfly at Richmond Theatre in April. Ellen Kent Farewell Tour, though I admit total ignorance of her production talents.
An already excellent line up for this year’s End of the Road festival has just been turbocharged with the news that Geese are playing. Very excited
Thanks, always useful
Cheers
Martin
Heads up - Lambchop are playing 2 nights at the Union Chapel in London this November. Just booked tickets
So have I!
Which night?
Friday. Love to keep Saturday nights free to watch Gladiators
LOL.
I’m going with Mrs Duck so if you fancy getting something to eat before the show then let me know
May 14th, Sean Rowe, Patronaat in Haarlem, the Netherlands. ![]()
It’s a lovely idea. I will be out and about with my three gig mates, and so it may be more than mrs duck can bear to watch us all eat. Not a pleasant sight. No doubt we will spot each other in the bar at half time, it would be great to catch up over a drink?
