He’s going to be very busy.
I can finally breathe a sigh of relief nervous as my tickets arrived by email today for Lords. I have been a little nervous as I never really trust any of the online booking agents. Especially since blowing $2k with the Witch Hat debacle.
So I’ll be at Lords on the 29th, I just hope it’s not raining.
I found this article interesting.
England are going to need wickets and I don’t think Mo is the answer to this problem. If England’s management have confidence in the batting, why not play Rehan Ahmed?
I think Moeen is probably as much of a wicket taker as Leach in helpful conditions, but less able to hold an end or bowl effectively when the pitch is not doing much. Leach has done this very well in the last year or so for England.
If Moeen comes back we could lose a batsman (Crawley) and pick another bowler, or Foakes. One of Bairstow, Pope or Stokes could open. I am assuming Stokes is a batter who might bowl a bit, not an all-rounder now.

I shared your apprehension, I’ve not heard back from the Anchor at Bankside , would you like to meet up at De Hems , on Wednesday ? Say 12.00
I haven’t heard back from The Anchor at Bankside
May I suggest De Hems It’s in/near Chinatown and has a TV screen
Is that Wednesday 28th? Can I invite myself along?
Yes, I think it’s a pretty open “do” I’ll be delighted to meet you at last
I’ve been to De Hems before (though not for a few years)
best wishes
Ian
Likewise.
Ok that’s a date and it’d great for @Eoink to join us as well. Looking forward to putting a face to a few members.
I will have a surprise for you…
Mmm
PS it is reputed to have a TV screen

Now I’m intrigued. I’m hoping @Eoink brings that beautiful decanter of his so I can just touch I promise I won’t steal it.
According to my app no rain for the next few days so hopefully the Aus v India game can get underway.
Yes, it was really cold yesterday but I hope it warms up for both sides.
Interestingly, a sixth (reserve ) day of play has been built in .
Either way , it’s not good for England to face either a) hurting Australia b) World Champion Australia
best wishes
De Hems is in Macclesfield Street (near Soho and Chinatown)
Looking forward to this. Definitely supporting Australia.
Shame Bumrah is missing, always enjoy watching him. Long term injured I think.

Moeen has been named for the England squad
Just got TV back in my study again after the old one died!
One of the benefits of wfh
Test cricket and the TDF while working in the summer.
India won the toss and sent the Aussies in.
