Cricket

I guess it is more like football where you can get odd results, fluke goals etc. I think it is the worst format but better than no cricket at all.

Harmy thinks he will go anyway … maybe BM doesn’t like to be told what to do; but, I hope he has the self awareness to adapt / change.

20 over slogs. Often a bit of a lottery.

I prefer the women’s T20 , much less of a slog fest

I’m happy that we’re winning and hope our luck holds.
I must admit t20 appeals to me less and less probably due to overkill on the networks. I only watched the England game after my wife reminded me it was on.

Did you ever doubt Jacks’ ability to finish it?

Alyssa Healy has just played her last ODI match (she’s retired), she got 158 against India. A fitting farewell for a great keeper-bat, just the Test match to go I think.

During that match Alyssa Healy bowled her first over in international cricket (Aus were well on top). Mitchell Starc (her husband) was on commentary for the first ball. I’ve just heard the sound clip “Top-edge for 4.” Momentary pause “Not that easy is it?”

And bowled out by a filthy rank hop.

Ms Healy deserved better :confused::confused::confused:

That’s one of the great T20 knocks. SA have a world-class bowling attack, Seifert and especially Allen destroyed them.

As TMS pointed out there’s an odd distribution of high scores this tournament, of the 6 tons scored 5 are exactly 100, 3 100no and 2 out for 100.

I thought SA had a half decent score. Chased in less than 13 overs. Scary stuff.

Eng v India semi at 1.30pm UK time.

I wouldn’t mind NZ winning the tournament whoever they play in the final.

I’ve just come in, I’ve seen two balls and I’m off to have a bonfire in the garden. Seen enough.

I’m watching a repeat of Midsomer Murders , (it was Joyce Barnaby in the cricket pavilion with a cricket bat)

In fairness England have given it a proper go. Listening to the commentary Brook’s bad drop early on, and two great catches by Patel have been the difference.

Will that be the end of Buttler and maybe Rashid in England colours? Both have had fantastic careers but maybe it is time.

I was out driving for most of the match so missed it pretty much completely. Caught the last 2 overs, and given the size of the chase fair play to England for getting close. Should be a good final, NZ were awesome with the bat in their SF.
