Dan's thread

I used to keep it a number 1, but eventually succumbed and now just fully shave it 2 or 3 times a week !

I will see what happens. If hair continues to fall out over the next week then I will grade it. If it eases up then will just get my normal haircut.

Good news, keep in there Dan.

Hi Dan, the psoriasis may well be a result of all the stress both your body and mind are under.

Sounds a nasty complication that you could have well done without.

Good to hear that you have been able to do some work , great for the mind

My very best wishes

Hi Ian,
The psoriasis can also be caused by immunotherapy. My skin and scalp started itching as treatment began.

On my scalp is started appearing earlier this year. I am sure that the chemo and stresses of everything did not help.

Loosing hair and psoriasis problems are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things.

I am more concerned as to whether the immunotherapy will actually work!

Thanks for your kind wishes.

Best,

BD

I’m at the other end of the timescale and wait until I look like Ken Dodd before a number 1 - admittedly it’s only 4-6 weeks.

I’d recommend O’Keeffes working hands and/or E45 for psoriasis.

I mostly use the O’Keeffes if it’s absolutely cracked to buggery IE i’ve been outside in the cold with no gloves for a few hours.
And the E45 for the day to day.

I’d also recommend dermatology tested soap even if you don’t have it as it’s very kind on the body

I dont have cancer but coming from a family with a history of psoriasis/ dermatitis these are my tips.

All the best Dan

I have the same concerns but unfortunately at this stage immunotherapy plus chemo/radiation is the best they have. There’s a lot of stuff going on with immunotherapy some think it’ll lead to better outcomes.

And you probably look good in a hat.

How are things Dan?

I have had 2 immunotherapy sessions now. I won’t find out until late June as to if it is effective or not. My energy levels are alot better. I am working 3 days a week now doing building work and am getting my strength back.

Living in the situation of the unknown territory of how long I have left. Doctors say 12 months. I say 12 years. See what happens eh?

Dan, I know it has been said many times but you are truly inspirational.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on firmware 200.3.1. And how it compares to the fabled 3.8.1.

Seems that your quality of life is much improved since you started on immunotherapy. I hope your prognosis also improves and you get the 12 years or more.

My view, albeit biased due to my professional background, is that this is a good thing to do; I hope the sessions are helpful.
