It takes just over two weeks for scan results to come through. So about a week to go. Then we will see what they will do.
I haven’t put anything in writing about the time taken between thw chemo and next treatments. I think it’s more a case of chasing for updates, rather than complaining as such.
When I spoke to lung consultant he said he will do everything he can to expediate the operation date. But it’s my oncologist who is in charge of the overall treatment plan.
I need to give them a week to get scan results before I do anything.
For me MRI took 1-2 weeks to get back. I remember they said they cooperated with Barcelona to speed things up.
In Sweden we have the possibility to go online and look ourselves at test results if we approve it meaning before doctors have time to get back. Can be risky if you don’t know what it says but that’s what I did every time because waiting killed me.
Thanks for your continued support to you all. This is an extreme battle I am facing. I feel that I am now having to fight for treatment. This wasn’t the case earlier on with my treatment. The NHS seemed to be pushing things through. Now it feels that they are taking longer than they should. My email today and phone call message will hopefully move things on.
I am on the case and will ramp up as necessary. I am not accepting the wait now.
Amazing, I’m so pleased for you Dan. From all you’ve posted you’re very fit, probably due to work, and that will be in your favour for quicker recovery from the surgery - as much as these things sound daunting they’ll be well planned and done by experts who do such things every week if not most days.
