Dan's thread

Dan is dressed and ready to go out home, even in a crowded bus.

That would do the job. Maybe I can get one from the hospital. Then get train and bus home. Job done :muscle: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Don’t misunderstand my post. I make fun but however I am aware of it as being serious.

@Dan_M I suggest you get some FP2 masks. The normal masks are designed to stop you from spreading germs and to a degree give some protection. FP2 masks give you added protection against infection and as someone who was shielding due to being clinically vulnerable (CEV), I was advised to wear them.

Making fun lightens things up. You make me laugh. We always need a joker in the pack on here.

With my experience of post -surgical infections , I think Mr Rooster is significantly underplaying the risk

My view is that you would be safer with this

I think the same. Maybe not joker , but lighten the subject. And the forum is not a medical community discussion as such.

Good idea, but I feel the doctor will loose patience if he has to wait till Dan get out of this.
And if the security let him enter :joy:

I used to certify these masks and issue the EC Type Examination Certificate (CE Mark). If you see any marked up with 0194, they were mine.

The FFP2 was the spec of mask recommended to wear when we had COVID.

Hi Dan, what are the news?

I saw you in the market yesterday. You didn’t recognised me.

Hi frenchrooster,
I was wearing shades :sunglasses: as you can see, sorry I couldn’t see you.

Been back at work this week. Business as usual. CT scan on tuesday.

Enjoying the system as always (despite some fw issues).

Looking forward to getting in my space suit for journey home after operation in a few weeks on train and bus! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I would get a taxi , having had a major staphylococcus infection which nearly finished me after a routine repair on an incisional hernia operation…

It was a joke, picking up from earlier posts! I may even get the hospital supplied transport.

Maybe you could ask Elon Musk to land one of his rockets in the hospital car park and then fly you home. Apparently all you need is some chop sticks to catch it. And you would get free space suit thrown in.

Operation date isn’t booked as yet. Have had to chase up for scan, which is now booked. Despite going through PALS system I still need to be on the case to make sure everything happens.

The left hand can’t seem to see what the right hand is doing. You send an email and someone says they will deal with it. And then you have to chase up and explain the urgency. Then in true fire fighting fashion it gets booked urgently within a day. It’s good that the scan is booked. If I had done nothing, the operation would be delayed.

Clearly cases aren’t being monitored effectively. I am not saying system is broken, but things aren’t working in the chain.
