I doubt that individual customers will be notified, but there will be a massive great thread here when it happens because there will be loads of queries about doing the install (I can remember well the 4.8 firmware occasion!).

It won’t be for a while yet though.

I’ve changed my iMac since the last OC update, and I remember something about drivers and ports needed to be done. I do hope the instructions cover this for IT idiots like me…
