English Premier League Season 2023/24

We are so sh…

Apart from Nick Jackson

And the Mudrat.

Meh…

Never want to lose games but pleased we didn’t end up with extra time. Saturday is the big game for us. We acquitted ourselves well against the billionaires. Our young player at 17 showed how much money Chelsea have wasted. Our weakness (Firpo/Cooper) which we can all see cost us again & resting our 9 (a level too high for Piroe). Fans as ever out sing the home support. Job done. Lot to do for Chelsea I’d suggest - looks like ‘casual’ is acceptable to many of their players.

We prefer the term ‘piss poor’.

Well played Leeds but, goal aside, how supine was that 2nd half Chelsea performance? Too many mercenaries who care little for the club? How many times did Jackson give the ball away in promising areas?

Whatever happened to Reece James? Absolute beast of a player. Cut above what you had on show tonight.

Crocked. Again.

He’s a huge loss. One of the EPLs best.

Frustrating night for us. Loads of possession but failed to create much in the way of clear cut chances. Never quite know if that’s because our attack is off, or the other side’s defence is excellent !

Wolves took their goal really well, and denied us chances - so fair play to them

Frustrating night for Forest too. We had our chances but just couldn’t capitalise on them. Man U didn’t look good, in fact Fernandes and Rashford were poor and looked far from highly motivated. Anyway they squeezed one in at the near post in the dying minutes to end our cup run this year. Oh well, we’ll just have to beat Liverpool on Saturday - like we did last season!

Yes I agree you didn’t deserve to lose, but didn’t threaten enough to win. As for ManU, Rashford was shocking yet again; I will excuse anyone loss of form or confidence, but I cannot excuse his continued lack of effort and commitment. Fernandes is such an annoying whining personality, and again is suffering from poor form, but at least he runs around and shows effort. Garnacho and Antony are far too predictable - neither is able or willing to take on the defender on the outside; they always cut back inside. Surely they could swap wings on occasions to offer a different threat. ManU are so far behind ManC, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Well done to all those clubs who proceeded through the FA Cup it’s still a fantastic competition and I’m always disappointed to see my own team knocked out.

It’s the oldest club competition (football) in the world.

I started following my team during an FA Cup run, 55 years ago.

It’s a very special competition.

Was standing opposite him on the London Underground back in the earlier 70’s. I was in total shock. I think I just mumbled “hello Bobby” and got out at my station.

Most Gooners were really disappointed when we sold Omari to Chelsea but we understood for his career path that he had to go.

Well that went well! Focus on Europa League now :rofl:

Watched the Mancs play each other on the telly earlier today. The red team must, pound for pound, be the worst run club in the EPL. Imagine being the biggest (or there abouts) club in the world and after goodness knows how many years since Fergie finished advance to the stage where you spend 90 minutes defending like a lower league side v a top side. Foden is some player. Never stops.
