Interesting systen!
Whouah, you got the testing mania. So many cables, switchesâŚduring the last month. Do you expect this switch to be better vs your D2?
You are testing in parallel the A2 speakers cables.
You will become an audio reviewer very soon
Pure Unobtanium!
ATB, J
The streaming and processing unit according to DCS.
They should have made instead one Core per canal, and one masterclock per canal instead.
It would be a reasonable 7 box.
@Dunc has ÂŁ85k worth of streaming kit with Vivaldi, excludes Melco and cables. Tbh, I am jealous. Best sounding streamer I have ever heard
Sounds awesome. It really does. When he comes to listen to mine, the ND555 will be crying.
Anyway guys enough messing about. Delighted with my set up. And Dunc has the ultimate streaming set up already!
I am staying put. Got enough going on with dealing with cancer and currently doing work on my house!
Itâs all good. Dunc has serious streaming set up. Really serious. I suggest you donât listen to it. It will only bring heartbreak
Thatâll be the Varese Grande
How would you know itâs the streamer you hear an not the sum of all parts?
And how do you know itâs better than your ND555. Did you bring it?
No offence, just curious since Iâm in ABCDEF testing right now and wonder how people come to certain conclusions Thanks!
Itâs whatever floats your boatâŚâŚâŚalways something better, somewhere. I am concentrating on music these days.
So Duncâs turntable is top notch and very very good. The dCS Vivaldi was for me in a different league. I could tell that this source was stronger than his superb deck which was more comparable to mine.
Trust me. The dCS Vivaldi is a superb streamer. Try it for yourselves.
Exactly, I am very happy where I am. There is always better stuff out there!
But full 500 series system is good enough for me.
Always interesting to hear other peoplesâs set ups and understand their journey.
But what if I donât have a boat???!!!
Would love a boat! Boating is fun! Maybe a Naim forum boat trip can be organised by @Richard.Dane showpieceing the new D Naim amps on the Princess line of motor boats? Lets go cruising
When Naim launched their partnership with Princess Yachts around 6 years or so ago, I went to the Dusseldorf boat show as a brand ambassador to help out. The Yacht there on display was impressive, but the Naim system onboard was perhaps even more so! Putting all the Unitis into synched party mode for one of the evening gatherings was something to rememberâŚ
I canât imagine what will be Rio GrandeâŚThe cost will be similar to the Versailles castle
I visited a client in Dusseldorf round about the same time, I suspect we drank enough Altbier to have floated one of those yachts
Richard,
All joking aside could a cruise be organised by Naim for a boating day trip. Obviously due to expenses a cost per person would have to be funded by us. Maybe a cruise on the River Thames.
What do you think? Maybe a limit of 10 people.
I donât know who is doing the boat stuff these days, and I donât seem to get called up much any more. Iâll ask someone who might know, but I wouldnât get too excitedâŚ
Thanks Richard. I went on a lot of boating holidays as a child and well into my late teens. My Mumâs partner had a Princess 42 which slept upto 8 I believe. Was very cool with flybridge. Did trips from the Thames to Holland and Belgium and Guernsey. Was a brilliant experience growing up!
Nothing like sitting on flybridge on motorboat cryising across the channel, unless you have a yacht of course. Anyway, see what can be done. I donât think Princess would loose anything from organising a day trip with Naim fans who are into boats! If anything someone may get into boating as a result!
