You will find it in quite a few different places I think.
I remember the v2 coming out as the dealer was waiting for it to come in and compare to the omega he had, as I was waiting for the omega to try.
Looks exactly like mine. But - as mentioned - had a mail chat with shunyata. There is only one sigma. They simply renamed it. The v2 update was for all cables except Ethernet ones, iirc.
So it is!

If shunyata said that, then I am sure itâs correct, strange they updated the boxing with v2 on it

Why hesitate. Buy the v2 version. Itâs the latest non âxâ sigma, maybe the only one

There is one for sale here but its packaging doesnât say V2. Only Sigma.
But the Shunyata support say there was never a V1. Or V2. Thereâs only a V1/V2 which is the same and then X.

Looking at the box again,then they did bring out v2 cables for the other cables in the range, and the box sticker is just an universal sticker that you tick to show whatâs in the box. They would have to have a separate sticker just for the sigma ethernet.
They also went from a lovely round case to a boring box at some point.

Perfect explanation. All other cables are updated. The digital just came out when the upgrade was done. The omega had the nice round one. Sigma is in a box.

And it was Shunyata support telling you this. Not a reseller or anyone else selling Shunyata?

Promise - mail from shunyata! I had the same question as you when I bought it and wanted the latest version of it.
Found your cable. Price is ok for an outdated 6a cable with 20 euro connectors 
. From the looks also identical to mine. The filters are now changed with sigma x to bigger ones like omega.

The product itself doesnât have any V2 on it. Just Sigma I guess?
Should be safe then that it is just a Sigma V1/V2 merged and then X and that it is the packaging that was updated to be in line with the rest of their V2 setup that were released.
The cable itself has the name âsigma Ethernetâ on the filters. Thatâs it. Really think there is only one.
Some words for sigma in your system.
Sigma signature is very naimish - very similar to super lumina. Organic and mid focused with fine texture - smooth HF but leading edge. Bass is good, but better with omega. Sigma excels with voices underlining the emotion. Instruments get these realism and their own âauraâ (hard to describe). Sigma is no cable extracting the last detail or being impressive from first moment. Not so much in your face as the Audioquest ones.
The signature mathes your current system and taste. But as it is all with balance, the ansuz could be the better one, like the rooster experienced. When you have you need to try the nds alone again

My Ansuz D2 is not either. 1008 is straight in your face in comparison.

I think you are spot on. 1008 in place of my Sigma is rather like how I remember the Audioquest Vodka sounding, very in your face. Paring them using two switches seems to give the best qualities from both but the itâs the Sigma that really makes the magic.

Quick question: I guess it would not make sense to change a 50cm AQ vodka to a 1.5m Sigma. Being longer probably a disadvantage here ? Just curious and no urge; so happy with sound at the moment that I am just enjoying a lot of listening
