Heroic goal from KDB. Being pulled down by a defender, rushed by goalie but still gets it in. What a player
He has all the balls missing from England team
Hugely enjoyable game, and with very little evidence of the usual âno contact whatsoeverâ / âpirouette onto the turfââ cheating behaviour which is now so commonplace, nor the Chuckle Brothers âtâme / tâyouâ bollox much favoured by so many teams.
And yon Romelu Lukaku, nae luck at all, that boy.
Great match.
Iâm probably far too old school for present day VAR, but I used to think that VAR was called into play solely in the case of âa clear and obvious mistake on the part of the onfield officialsâ, which to me means something obvious missed by them.
Tonightâs Lukaku offside was surely a matter of a couple of inches the wrong side of a virtual line drawn laterally across the pitch.
So, hardly a clear and obvious mistake by the linesman of referee, so VAR being used to make clinical decisions throughout is why itâs present application is so universally detested by the fans.
Only saw the 2nd half but De Bruyne was imperious I thought.
I agree. But where do we draw the line ?
Just watched the Belguim Vs Romania; best most entertaining game so far. Both team played fast flowing football and the experience and talent in the Belgium side won the day. I like to see Belgium reach the finals, they play an accurate passing game with all the right runs (something England are not totally familiar), the way they tackle and fight for every ball and their attack and movements are so incisive and intelligent, their football is so elegant to watch. The ironic part is all the teams in that particular group E have 3 points so all yet to play. So in a way England is a little fortunate to be top of their group table but unless they have some miraclous conversion or change in their football attitude I donât see them reaching the finals (they do have the talent in the players but their game have lamentable gaps)âŚ
This.
Heroic? He stumbled 2 yards whilst a Romanian briefly grabbed his shorts because De Bruyne had an arm all over him. What a hero.
We had the people on the field to win the ball if they had moved out of their own third and pressed the opposition. Apparently Southgate now says they are not fit enough to do this, I despair.
Scotland arenât exactly doing much to score here
Not even sure theyâve had an attempt yet have they?
Apparently no shots for the Scots in the 1st half. This game is actually worse than the last England game at the moment
Two games in the Euros so far with a team failing to even try a goal attempt in first half. Both times it was Scotland!
What a dreary, dismal, borefest of a game.
Iâm struggling to remain awake.
Switzerland Germany is a much better game. Swiss very good value.
Iâm neutral on this one
So even if Scotland go through Mc Tominay canât play - oh dear
TBF, Hungary deserved that. Scotland were terrible again
Scotland worse than England. And we were sh*t awful.
