Favourite song when stressed.whats yours

Before I retired I was an operational network engineer working on the electricity supply network. When we were chasing faults it could get a bit hectic at times, thinking on your feet, co-ordinating staff, updating the control room etc, etc. For me it would always be a Laura Marling album as I was driving around. Anything more upbeat would make my brain go into overdrive. I used to call it my ‘fault music’.

I don’t blame you. Let us hope your stress period doesn’t last 4 years!!! :slightly_smiling_face:

I can appreciate what you state about the hectic times chasing faults. I also worked in the electricity supply business, not an engineer but an ‘operative’.

This. Small Hours by John Martyn. Mr Martyn has helped me through many sticky moments over the years and this is one of his finest. With train and geese and ducks. Magical. I drove from London to see him with Steve Winwood in Norwich at UEA student union, June 1976 just because Steve was playing that gig with him. (Bob Dylan had released Blood on the Tracks earlier that year and that was played all the way home after the gig. Good Times.)
