I seem to have lost functionality on 333/332.
- My analogue input (LP12) has disappeared from the app screen. I can’t find the ‘linked’ preamp input that was there before.
- and the volume number is no longer appearing on the 333 screen when I manually move the volume on the 332. The app says the streamer and preamp are not paired but they are?
- Possibly linked to above, but I was only using the 333 remote and remote control volume now no longer does this, but it can put it into mute, and control brightness across 333/332/350s….very odd.
- I can’t find a way to remove ‘presto’ from the visible inputs (also what is it?).EDIT found how to do that. Although toggling this cut the sound from an optical input and had to toggle radio to get sound back.
- I now have to manually select the ‘phono’ input on the preamp, but before I could it from the app. A downgrade perhaps?
I suppose I could switch to just using the preamp remote and ditch the NSS remote and just use the app for those functions? It would be useful to hear how the designers anticipate how this should work, and which remote can act as the master remote in this situation. Surely they didn’t think a 300 system would need 2 remotes?
I will continue to work through some of the above but I’m a tad annoyed.

FURTHER UPDATE:
A hard reset has got everything back to normal. I think this should be stated on the in app info panel just before you update. My remote control batteries also chose this exact moment to fail which didn’t help.

Is this a phased rollout? NSC 222 is saying it is on 5.3 and firmware is up to date
Thanks for the feedback. Any observations on changes in tonal balance, midrange (fuller, denser, leaner), sense of musicality/coherence/engagement, etc?
My 222 showed the new firmware, and I’m updating that now. Be aware you may need a full switch of at mains after installation, see above.
I’m not sure why; you just unplug it and plug it in again. I’d try ‘check for updates’ in the App. If that doesn’t work it may be a case of waiting a while. New firmware does seem to appear slightly later in some parts of the world on occasion.
Hi @elverdiblanco Odd! But considering what I’ve just been through with the 333, were it appears the update half loaded anything could be happening

Well, I’ve just spent a wonderful evening listening to all manner of things I haven’t listened too for years, and I was so engrossed in the music. I started with usual test tracks, and nothing terrible had happened but I had a sudden urge to explore something different (always a good sign) so off I went. 3 hours later I was sitting in the dark (couldn’t get out of the chair in case I missed something) to close curtains and put a light on. It is actually raining here
So far, I’m impressed. You just have to remember if you get glitches after the update to do a full switch off. But apart from that everything is rosy

I was planning to hold back to see how it plays out but I succumbed to it about an hour ago. I have no willpower 
Anyway, don’t want to judge it too quickly but so far it seems pretty good.

I did not need to do a hard reset. However I did have to toggle the 333 screen on and then off. Now the volume appears on the screen when I rotate the 332 knob.
Any idea if the NSS333 REMOTE OUT now is compatible with the classic series preamps to control volume? My 552’s volume cannot be controlled by the app while connected to the remote out. Naim did say they were planning a fix, just not sure if it’s in this firmware update. @NeilS

It’s a bug. I have my NSC 222 replaced before because of this and other issues I’ve had.

Yes, this is normal. Glad it went ok for you, how are you finding it sound wise?
Update on 222 went smoothly. I did a full power cycle just in case.
Nope, it isn’t.
That’s for the next update, I would assume. (5.4 seems to have caught up with 3.12, and then taken the lead with Presto in 1 go.)

Installed v5.4 yesterday morning and the update commenced without a hitch. No power down necessary.
I like what I’m hearing - vocals in particular now appear more decisively centred and three-dimensional in their presentation, and fine detail is more easily heard. Example: listening to Elbow’s cover of ‘Mercy Street’; I can hear Guy Garvey’s intake of breath ahead of each line, and the backing vocals which are fairly low in the mix, can now be much more easily separated from the percussion and keyboard behind them.
No hardness or over-emphasis of the top end, but that could just be the deficiencies of ageing ears..
Overall, I’m happy with the move. As ever, YMMV.
