Sorry I do apologies I forgot your superior goal difference do you get 1/8 of a premier league trophy for that a lid perhaps or a handle. I shouldn’t laugh it’s nice when a small club unexpectedly finds themselves top of the league you should enjoy it I think the club should arrange an open top bus ride around the streets of North London!
Gunners are performing worse than many would have expected. I have a soft spot on them because I remember watching Bergkamp’s magical touch and enjoying their style of active football.
Correct me if I’m mistaken but Arsenal has started the season poorer last time 39 years ago.
As a Nufc supporter I understand businessmen do business and everything else is secondary, but still I wonder what more will happen in after Arsene era Arsenal…
’Gunners are performing worse than many would have expected. I have a soft spot for them …'
Me too. It’s called Woolwich.
’Correct me if I’m mistaken but Arsenal has started the season poorer last time 39 years ago.'
You are correct.
Good luck to you for the rest of the season and well done you’re doing well.
Leg pulling apart. You have the chance to kick us Spurs fans poo-pahs next week. It wouldn’t surprise me.
I have no real confidence in Spurs maintaining any consistency and we are far from being the finished article.
However Spurs are hanging on up there, they did not reach that position by being very lucky or purely by fluke. They seem to have so, so matches and then the occasional very good match…
Kick Spurs?! Hahahaha. I wish.
I’m fully expecting to be battered at the weekend and am only hoping we wake up for the derby to at least make things marginally difficult for you. It’ll be a miracle if we do though.
Kane and Son look the real deal at the moment. Hate to say it but they’re doing the business.
Arteta is potentially a very good manager but he misjudged the dysfunctional environment he entered and the extent to which he can influence that and he’s made several errors so glaringly obvious that he may not come back from them.
1 - for the style of football he wishes to play Martinez was the better keeper. To discard him because he allegedly demanded a guaranteed place (not quite true, he simply wanted to not be discarded because another player was fit again, not quite the same) in his head probably reinforced his message re: Ozil i.e. my way or oblivion. In reality it sent an instant message to the rest of the squad that no matter how well you played the manager would stick by his favourites. The exact opposite of the message he’d preached for months after his arrival. A genuine full on rookie error but there’s no coming back from it now.
2 - Willian. Great player in his time and probably a great player at another club right now but for this club right now he’s exactly the opposite of what was needed and looks very much to his team mates like Ozil i.e. does his thing but doesn’t track and doesn’t run. If you’re playing with him you’re likely looking at him thinking, if we can afford a player like that or the manager wants a player like that, why aren’t we playing with the real one.
So, why are Arsenal a weird mix of the sublime and the ridiculous? Possibly because their manager has made two major mistakes and has no real means of undoing either.
Up to the giddy heights of 5th!
Well that’s that little mystery sorted.
I’d throw the towel in now, Spurs have got it wrapped up.
Spuds will find a way to blow it, mark my words…
I hope that Raul Jimenez recovers completely and speedily after that crack which I almost felt from here.
He’s been a little out of form recently, but we need him, his teamwork, brilliant goal scoring/creation and infectious smile.
Although Silva looks promising now he’s finding his feet.
I just wish Norwich could stay up for more than one season!
It’s just nice to be in a position where we can ‘blowi it’ !
Told you your boys will do OK this year
Marine ? Oh no, I hate these slippery banana skins…
You know, part-time Postman scores 30 yard winner against league leaders !
Will we defend for most of the game and try and hit them on the counter attack ?
Never seen that before, a perfect hat trick for Giroud and then a penalty to make it 4! What are they going to call that then?
Proper job on Sevilla tonight.
Not sure about Europe but in the Premier League alone almost 30 players have scored four goals in one game including Song, Aguero and Salah.
Chelski much the better team in the second half, witness our MOM was probably our young French keeper, who saved our bacon on several occasions … what a bargain he has turned out to be.
No shame in losing to the team going top of t’ league.
Oh well, moving on to the next game against t’ Hammers.
