Football Season 2020 - 2021

We. Are. Top of the league. :slightly_smiling_face:

Nice to see fans in the stadium. And just in time for panto season too as Diego Llorente found out!

Glad to see you knock the Spuds off I don’t think I could take much more of their gloating.

I’d say Timo Werner’s miss was more pantomime than anything the Chelsea fans did to Llorente. How did he contrive to miss that???

Tactically sharp, pragmatic, efficient and ruthless with chances. Those are not qualities I usually associate with Spurs but they displayed them this afternoon. Mourinho seems to be having an effect. Arsenal were tidy in possession and deserve credit for never giving up but they look look like a team still searching for a game-plan that all the players know how to execute. That deficiency will be exploited by the top teams in the PL.

Spurs 2 - 0 Arsenal

Love it!

And yes we are STILL top of the table.

Well done to Spurs you are really buying into the Jose way.

That will do nicely.
Ruthless from Spurs.
Harry record scorer in NLD’s.
Top again. Nice while it lasts.

Arsenal only seemed to try and lump crosses into the area - don’t they remember that they sold Giroud?
Auba ‘missing in action’ again - should we send a sesrch party ?
Didn’t anyone tell Arteta how Spurs play ? You know, Sonny and Harry on the counter…

Trying not to sound too predictable but… Mind The Gap !!

Seems Josés tactic is to sit back (park the bus) and allow the opponent to keep possession and score on the break, relying on the excellences of Son and Kane’s ruthlessness. It worked against Man City and Arsenal but I am not sure Spurs can go the whole season relying on that…let’s hope this is not a one trick pony approach.

Arsenal looking devoid of any inspiration in possession.

…and The Reds struggling to break down a resolute Wolves defence.

Spurs 2 - Arsenal 0 Ah poetry in motion… :musical_note:

Ex Norwich player looked good!

It was a long way off poetry in motion a Spurs infused Jose side and a terrible Arsenal side who for some reason cannot score for toffee. I’ve seen better North London derbys and still been on the losing side.

Brilliant point for the Eagles against Spurs

Spuds paid the price for sitting back on a narrow lead…

I confess I have no idea who that is meant to be.

A must win for Arsenal tonight against Burnley team wise due to injuries and suspensions it’s difficult to see what Arteta can really change apart from formation although I’d say dropping Xhaka would be a positive move as his form is pedestrian I’d give Elneny a shot in the middle with Ceballos.
Apart from that I’d say that it’s down to the players to start performing apart from his terrible goal drought Auba also needs to start playing like a Captain.
This season was always going to one of transition and talk of Arteta getting the sack in the next couple of weeks isn’t the way to go in my opinion yes he is unexperienced and tactically naive but what was the point of giving him the job if it wasn’t going to be part of a long term project.

It’s the Moyseiah, and he’s a very naughty boy!

Yep you are bang right. I was feeling really low about only getting a draw away from home. But then I watched our rather quiet neighbours.
I’m sure the Arsenal board will give Arteta a vote of confidence on Monday…

Crikey, Arsenal are so far south of Spurs that they are almost back in Woolwich…
