Football season 2022 - 2023

Things are starting to lookup for Norwich.
Mark Attanasio, who owns the Milwaukee Brewers, has been given a seat on the board following his purchase of a minority shareholding.
From what I’ve heard he seems an ideal match for us judging by what has happened at the Brewers.
Together with his business partner he manages £44bn but will not be throwing a fortune at City, instead looking to grow the club in a sustainable manner as with the Brewers.
Reports from Brewer fans indicate they are happy with Attanasio as an owner as everything is based around them.
Interesting times.

He is absolutely perfect for Manchester United.

Just hoping his involvement will enable us to retain our ‘star’ players if we wish to & not need to recruit replacements from the ‘bargin basement’ all the time.

I would expect him to gradually increase his shareholding to eventually become the majority shareholder. I hope his aim is to see us become an established Premier League side &, at least, aim to be amongst ‘the best of the rest’ before too long.

A win against Bristol City (arguably our toughest opposition so far this season) tonight would be a good statement of intent for him to begin to build on.

Sure CR will give him a good welcome & a hint of what the future could bring.

I’m sure from his statement that he’s in for the long term.
Regarding retaining players I doubt we’ll ever be able to compete with the top teams and player ambition will also come into whether they leave or not.
At least I can see a future where establishing City in the premiership is a possibility. I’d settle for that as I want to see the top teams.

This will be a great stadium: for the Championship!!. ( I am a Leicester supporter) :smiling_face_with_tear:

If a player wishes to leave then you can’t really stop them. I am really referring to the need to sell to raise funds to survive the following season becoming a thing of the past.

After last night are we ever going to win when the result was never in doubt for the entire 90 minutes? Or in our case, 96 to 98 minutes, which seems to be the norm for most of our games. Does any team actually play longer per season than us?

Just watching Wolves-Man C. Is there a better playmaker than Kevin Debruyne - anywhere?

Not for me there isn’t.
Some of his passing is quite frankly ridiculous.

Would’ve loved to have seen him in an Arsenal shirt.

“Leicester are set to become the 10th team to pick up one point (or none) in their opening seven games. Six of the previous nine went down.”

Something’s got to change.

Afraid so..

In Liverpool it is a sign of a complete anti-establishment attitude , I won’t comment on other places

I feel so sad sometimes

My God how bad are Leicester.

No there isn’t - one of the greatest midfielders ever I’d suggest

They are on a shocking run- need to spend some. money on defenders - and its likely the coach will be leaving

Watching Maddison against Spurs in a losing cause I find it difficult to see how Southgate leaves him out of his squad. Probably the most creative England qualified player at the moment and the national team badly needs one.

Yes very strange. Probably too much of a maverick for the overly cautious Southgate!
