I see the appeal of simple 1 or 2 box systems but….
I’ve been gradually building my system over 35 yrs.
Having 7 boxes on 2 Fraim racks is just fine with me, especially since I have a large listening room so the Naim boxes don’t dominate the room.
I love listening to my system and enjoy the aesthetics of my room including my hifi.
So for those of you who have 5 or more boxes perhaps you could post pics with pride.
Let’s celebrate multi boxes!
I’ve been building this system up for 28 years now and I’m very happy with it. I don’t feel the need to upgrade any of the Naim boxes, but the LP12 has a few more things coming its way and possibly some new speakers pending a home demo.
I also have a one box system, the Uniti Nova, which I’ve had since 2018. It’s an amazing piece of kit but it cannot hope to compare with my main system.
Built up and now completed after 13yrs. If I didn’t have a dedicated listening room where I could listen 24/7 the I doubt I’d have all this. An integrated, streamer and TT would be where I would be in the living room (which is what I have I there now ) .
I wouldn’t say just 7 boxes is large, well certainly not in a naim style.
You can have 10 just in amp’s and pre amp.
Then 3 more just in a digital source, and another 3 if you have a turntable.
So 16 plus the speakers.
