I lusted after the Rockports at the recommendation of the late Bob Crump. We heard them at Goodwin’s High End in the Boston area and much preferred the comparable Magico. We could not hear a 500 with either on this trip. The Rockport had a rear firing port which would not work in our room. This was 2013 or 2014.

We are happy with the Proac K6 today, but could get tempted by the K6 Signature. The bottom firing port is easier to deal with.

Kudos T606’s for me in a “modestly proportioned” listening room. Absolutely delighted with them. Derek’s a Naim man at heart and you can tell.

I’m familiar with Nick’s system, both before and since his recent move, and the Sonority platforms he’s now using have completely transformed things. The Facts sound sensational.

Thanks Skip. I’ll check out K series Proac if they are going to be at the Axpona this year.
Magico indeed is nice! But the ones I have heard were like 80K! Way out of my range.

How come you didn’t go with Magico?

Did you try the S series?
S1 MkII and S3 MkII are worth auditioning.

I had the opportunity to listen to all their products.
My favorite is by far the Magico M2.
But it is out of reach.

I went for the S3 MkII which is probably the sweet spot.

Less costlier Magico was not nearly good as the $$$ ones. ( figures… )
The pair I have heard was out of M series.
