Great Beatles covers

Really love Rufus Wainwright’s version of Across the Universe.

It was mine and Mrs McFaddon’s first dance at our wedding!

Cornershop and a fine piece of cultural reappropriation.

The Carpenters’ Ticket to Ride. Slowed right down, totally different treatment, demonstrates what brilliant song writers L & M were.

Is that single yours? If so it’s a tad unusual because they have spelt Marcia Griffiths name incorrectly…

Lone Star: She Said She Said

First heard it on Alan Freeman’s Final Saturday Rock Show, coincidentally 41 years ago this very weekend just gone on August 26th 1978. After a long gap when I lost the tapes of that show, Tidal came to the rescue a couple of years ago. It’s superb. Especially the very end; all it needs is dear old Fluff popping up to back-announce it.

Not one of my ones but a very cool cover. Good eyes, I bet this one is worth more than the ones with correct spelling
