Not before. In the past I had only to enable the imput and no more.

I can’t raise the volume, it’s very low. My upstairs neighbour is very sensitive. But tomorrow morning, it will be my morning. I let the Qobuz favourites running all the night, it will burn the new gear.

A couple of things I did this week to improve sound of my system. First I replaced a standard wall outlet with a Synergistic Research Tesla plex socket that I was using at my old place. Next I moved all switch mode power supplies away from my audio gear, they are now on a separate outlet. These were for my router and TV box.
Listening today for most of the morning I definitely heard an improvement, I just became more involved in the music emotionally. Before, there was a slight edge to the sound that was bothering me since I moved in here. It even made me think about buying a pair of Harbeth speakers to solve this…now that idea might not happen.
