Update;
The additional Naim PowerLine arrived and installed into the second Hi-Cap. It has been in for a few days now and so far, we are very impressed with the improvement in SQ.
We have found that the sound is a bit more fuller and detailed. We listen to Jazz and some things we have noticed is that drums and the bass line is a bit more coherent. By that, we mean;
- That drums appear to be a bit more crisper, particularly when the edge of a drum is being played
- The bass is a bit more distinctive and clear, particularly the double bass
The top end is bit brighter and clearer, making it easier to follow the rhythm. Cymbals come through particularly well.
Consequently, I’m pleased that we made the recent changes. The music is more engaging, so we are enjoying playing some of our favourite tracks.
