Yes, not specially attractive. But i wonder why produce such a beast. Which system needs 6 X 20 000 watts. Speakers like the Empire States Building high? For a Gulliver house?
He can’t listen to his Pivetta amp for the moment.

This is from Marten in Gothenburg,…
To the left in the picture,..Leif Olofsson, owner and one of the designers of Marten’s loudspeakers.
In the middle,..Erik Andersson, designer of the tube-amplifier “The Dream” (the red one).
Erik is also the designer of Audion’s world famous tube-amps.
Erik has lived in England for many years,..the Audion-factory was located there.
Erik was one,of two owners of the Audion.
But now he lives in Nacka outside Stockholm,..I know Erik very well.
To the right,..Ola Hesselwall,..Erik’s design-partner.
The picture is from Martens large listening room in Gothenburg.

nice speakers. The tube amp reminds me more an electric or gaz fumace. But perhaps the sound is beautiful however…
I have in another thread written about Jorma Design.
The Swedish Cable-constructor himself,..Jorma had this music-system.
Marten Coltrane loudspeaker,..and Vitus electronics.
Of course,..Jorma used his own cables in his music-system.
Marten also uses Jorma’s cables internally in all their loudspeakers.

Frenchrooster,…Yes “The Dream” sounds extremely good.
That’s probably why Erik baptized his design to just…The Dream ![]()
.
The Dream drives the big speakers in the picture without any problems.
As you see,you can also have it in black.
The idea of the construction of The Dream,..was to build an amplifier without thinking of Economic factors.
Everything is designed and constructed by Erik himself,..This is his masterpiece.
It is not cheap, but it sounds good.

nicer here. But a bit vintage look. Not a problem, all tastes in the nature…
Halcro have just released a new range of power amps, their last power amp DM58 was quoted by Stereophile as the best power available anywhere in 2002
yes, as you said, in 2002. Curious to know now…
frenchrooster-
a single amp, much easier to set-up and move (L)
I saw an old mcintosh poster recently of the grateful deads “wall of sound” - 1970 and 71 I think (they didn’t do it often or for long). It showed stacks and stacks of speakers and mcintosh amps on stage w/the dead out front. It said something like 28,000 watts of pur mac power. So one amp would be much easier to set up.
perhaps to just reproduce the sound of a rocket launch…
Decepticon or Autobot ? Could probably transform into a Russian Vodka mini bar as well.
Always loved the look of the A1 but it did run very hot…
Apparently they have a new range of power amps on the way. The current range doesn’t look as good in my opinion but the new stuff is meant to look like the photo you posted. I’d never really heard of them until an article in a local (Australia) hi mag this month.
with the preamp , it looks like a little like statement. No rack needed.
halcro audio preamp ( old model, no photo of the new)
new halcro eclipse amp ( 125 k )
Swedish Statement above,…CES Las Vegas 7-10 years ago.
This music-system won first prize at CES in Las Vegas.
Some Swedish designers/manufacturers cooperated,..and put together a Swedish reference music-system to challenge the best in the world.
They called the music-system…
SWEDISH STATEMENT,..it consisted of…
Marten speaker.
Jorma Design,Interconnect,power,speakercable
Bladelius Mono-block.
Bladelius Gondul CD-player.
Bladelius pre-amp.
Robert Grubbstad,..Audio Concept turntable.
Solid Tech hifi-rack.

Very often mixed up (strangely enough).
Balabo is not Japanese. They are from California
Correction,…The years goes fast
,..it was the year 2006 that…
The SWEDISH STATEMENT was presented at CES in Las Vegas.
The picture above: From the first private person’s listening room,..that purchased ”The Swedish Statement” music-system.
It cost in 2006 a little over 4 million Swedish money..it is a little over € 380 000:-.
As we say in Sweden,..“Taste it so it costs”.
This ”The Swedish Statement",took many prices at CES in Las Vegas 2006,..Including.. See picture below
