How tu upgrade from Naim Supernait 2 + Hi-Cap

The headline costs 500 :uk: GBP

So perhaps better to sell the SN2 I feel. However I have never heard a headline.

The Headline is excellent, however bear in mind it will also need a dedicated power supply.

Unfortunately the headline doesn’t run system automation, so it’s a deal breaker for me.

Will stick with the SN2 and hope a new pre-amp range includes a headphone stage. Probably best not to get a second hand 282 just because one is available (pretty rare in NZ).

Do you sit close enough to your amp to plug in a pair of headphones. Your avatar pic. looks like it would be too far away, in which case a different solution might be more appropriate.

Yes, I do. But I want to control the volume through the App or NDX2 remote like I do with the SN2. I sit close enough for the headphone lead, but not to reach the volume control on the amp.

Are you dissatisfied with the sound of the Supernait 2, or do you simply wish to spend money?

You might be able to use a headphone amp with an RCA input connected to the spare RCA out on the NDX2. You can switch between outputs in the app. If you really want to use a Naim volume control, you would need to enable variable volume too, but it may sound better with fixed volume.
Another option might be to use the SPDIF out, and get a DAC/headphone amp. Maybe a V1, or one of the Chord DACs which make very good headphone amps.

I am satisfied with the sound of Supernait 2 but not permanently.

I mean that in Hi-Fi there is almost always a margin to level up and enjoy more.

Why not do it?

I understand that it is necessary to spend money, but if I spend money to enjoy it, it is money well spent.

I have just informed my Naim supplier that I want to proceed with the order.

Just for your opinion.

How are these prices?

Naim 282 4600
Naim 250 DR 3400
Naim 555 PS DR 6000

eur

What exactly are you asking. New? Used? Dealer? Ebay? Stolen?

New of course !

From official Naim dealer

That’s 60 to 65% of the new price in New Zealand!!

Vuoi dire che è un buon prezzo??

Per te, non per me.

I do not understand.

Did I get a good price or is it too much?

The 555 converts to NZ$10,300, but it’s $17,200 in NZ, someone’s having a laugh.

In what money? Dollars, euros…?

I think you need someone in Europe to advise. It’s a bargain compared to NZ prices. I’d be better to holiday in Tuscany and buy gear there, it would save me money!

Prince in EUR

Do the prices include sales tax?
