Would it depend upon whether the spoon is left-handed or right-handed? Serious question, for example this wooden spoon is right-handed:


It just won’t work left-handed.

It definitely is, even with a large hammer I couldn’t get the IEC into the wall socket, and the pins on the mains plug dented the back of my 52.

Sad person that I am, your spoon is beech and machine made, so the handle has been cut with the grain, the bowl has been hollowed, probably with a dome shape type of router cutter. The corner scrape would first have appeared on both sides, then one or the other is cut away, so I would argue that it it is the end user is right or left handed.
