I would love a Naim App that: can work with Apple watch the same way Spotify do it!

Without being the main tool, it is SO convenient to sometimes just skip a song or change the volume. Easy, fast, discrete when at the table or with friends, and not to mention when in slime position on the couch.

Iā€™m really missing it. :frowning:

Maybe one day!?

Massive improvement on the shuffle button- can finally tell if itā€™s on or off ā€œat a glanceā€ :grinning:

I quite like this update, I think the naim app looks alright. I can see that some with smaller screens or sausage fingers may struggle with the volume buttons being close to the previous/next buttons but on my iPhone 12 Pro Max it works well.

Should I have an adjustable volume control when itā€™s using an optical digital input?

Unfortunately it appears flaky on my Samsung. Only had it open for 5 minutes and all my inputs have disappeared.

Oh no. Back again. Thatā€™s going to be really really really annoying if itā€™s a common occurrence.

Is it possible to go back one version on IOS? The super tiny buttons annoy me a lot since they where very good before.

Yeah - preferred the previous option for a few wallpapers for background. Would have been nice if we could select our own background wallpapers instead of just black or white. But I guess this is just cosmetic.

Text is indeed smaller than before - quite noticeable as I use the iOS app of a Mac Mini.

On the other hand, the new app seems to be a bit snappier than before on the Mac.

I have minimserver set to sort albums within each artist by year. In the app Iā€™d like to see the year displayed where Iā€™ve circled in the picture

ā€¦there is room for one more line of text for each album.
Even better would be the ability to configure ourselves what is displayed e.g. in settings it would allow which tag to be displayed on each line of each album. The possibilities are many, an other example could be to show ā€˜artistā€™ where ā€˜5 albumsā€™ is on my screenshot and then allow us to configure what is displayed beside each album.

The volume bar within the app goes not to max anymore, at least with Superuniti. It might have to do with my max setting of 60 for the Superuniti, but the bar goes now max to 35.

Its a function of the server you can do it in Asset:-

You may be able to tweak minimserver.

Same thing here with a 272. The volume is full on the app but only 25 on the preamp display.

Something is amiss.

I have never had any idea what the Amazon thing does in the settings. But itā€™s there. And if itā€™s there, it could show my local amazon (nl), since I donā€™t deal with foreign amazon shops.

ā€¦ in the end I couldnā€™t be botheredā€¦ but could anyone enlighten me on the use of this commercial setting?

Looks like only a few cosmetic changes but I am sure thereā€™s more to the new version. Personally I would prefer the standby selection to be on the front page so to speak. And also I use a usb drive a lot but the file listings are sometimes useless if title length is wider than the phone screen. Would be nice for text wrap or som form of scrolling like the radio does.

Sort of miniplayer

The new version makes it easier to see if shuffle is engaged, but arranged a playlist into alphabetical order. Why? For some reason I have volume buttons on my ipad, but not my iphone.

There seems to be some UI bugs in the new app. When inside a playlist, on my iPhone I can use the back arrow to navigate back out, but on when I install the same app on the Mac Mini, the back arrow is missing inside the playlist. Currently forced to use the home button to go back out and exit the playlist screen.

Playlist order seems ok for me though.

Many beta testers in vacation mode.

So the functionality is there. Seems more like an apple issue than a Naim one.

My bet is on naim not following apple guidelines.

If it did not work on the intendedOS you could have a case, but it does work here.
