What I want to know is, instead of chasing down someone who had just committed assault by a couple of taser-armed cops in a blue and two, how come there was immediately available helmeted and armed-to-the-teeth specialists to do it?

True but he knew what he was doing and look how it turned out. Some of these idiots have no idea, they put themselves (often others as well) and the wildlife at risk.
