Innuos / quobuz

Since the last Innuos firmware update quobuz keeps jumping tracks (c1 in 3). Current song ends mid track and it jumps to the next one….

Local stored files and internet radio work perfectly.

I have engaged with innuos and they say it’s a quobuz issue….

Anyone else experiencing the same or any fixes would be appreciated

Played 4 hours of music last night. Some local but mostly Qobuz. No issue at all.

Hi Gary, I’ve had the same issues recently, it’s been fairly widely reported across a number of manufacturers not just Innuos. Qobuz have seemingly have had a few issues recently as they upgraded their systems, all seems to have settled down over the last few days but maybe a few lingering problems. In my case it appears all the albums that were problematic are now ok.

Thanks, I still have issues. Maybe I’ll just do the mandatory turn it all off over night and turn it on again!

Pretty frustrating….

It could be related to the ongoing playback issues experienced by Qobuz users, primarily caused by corrupted or incomplete audio files due to a caching problem with the content delivery network (CDN).

No issues encountered playing Qobuz via my Pulsar, playing for the past 3 hours without a hitch

@Farthings-cat Can you give us an example of a Qobuz playlist or album that fails?

For me, “Stepping Out: The very best of Joe Jackson” skips from track 2 to 3 half way through the song “Sunday Papers” on an Innuos Zen, firmware version 3.4.2, streaming with the Sense app.

Streaming to my Naim NSS333 using the Naim app, playing the same tracks from Qobuz works fine.

Just FYI: A message from Qobuz support staff, some Qobuz users, including myself, suffer this issue during the past weeks.

I notice that this issue manifests itself more frequently if you primarily play back playlists.

Qobuz has been playing 100% okay tonight/this morning and over the past weeks (and years) for me. :tropical_fish:

It seems to do it on all albums and play lists via quobuz - currently playing “80s synth pop” playlist and track 2 OMD just jumped but the issue isn’t always repeatable which makes me wonder if it’s a network problem but the internet seems to tell me it’s a quobuz issue.

It all worked flawlessly up until I did the Innuos latest update.

I always use the sense app as it sounds better then the Naim up and I prefer its UI.

The problem is that it doesn’t seem to be the same issues for everybody. For example, I can play the Joe Jackson tracks that @malfordlad refers to on my Innuos Statement/Nagra DAC from Qobuz via Sense, standalone/no UPNP. Most of the recent issues I’ve been having with Qobuz appear to be resolved.
Obviously something has been amiss with Qobuz given the number of issues that have been reported, things seem to be improving but not quite 100%.

I’ve had issues too and it’s not an Innuos problem - has been same on the same tracks when playing on phone/car etc - only occasionally and the ones that were an issue seem to have been fixed so think it was temporary.

There is a thread on the Innuos forum about Qobuz playback issues. I put my findings into it last night, Innuos are usually active when issues are reported there.

I think there is a possibility of a fault in their SenseUPNP feature as I see this problem only when playing from the Zen over ethernet to the Naim streamer. Unfortunately I don’t have easy access to a USB DAC to eliminate this fault option.

Listening to David Sylvian and every second / third track ends abruptly and the next track plays.

I did post on Innuos forum and they pretty much said it’s a quobuz issue.

Not really sure what my next steps are…..

I answered you on that forum, I have no difficulty playing the tracks you mentioned, I am not using Sense UPNP, maybe you’re on to something.

Thanks. There are a few albums that I marked as Qobuz favourites in Innuos Sense which are no longer available. That is annoying in itself. Some of the Qobuz playlists have tracks missing. And then there is this issue with tracks stopping early, about half way through.

The first two issues, albums and tracks no longer available I think are down to Qobuz not Innuos, it is annoying though. The last issue of tracks stopping early or skipping tracks etc seems to be a Qobuz issue which they have reported was a result of a ‘caching anomaly’ which they are working towards resolving.

Cheers for the update and confirming it’s still siting with quobuz.
Makes me question if I should jump back to tidal…..

Gary

@Farthings-cat

I have Innuos Zenith mk3 updated with latest software. I also only use Sense to control however I only play music that has been ripped onto the Innuos and do not stream. No problems here. Supports your view that it is likely to be a Qobuz issue.

I have what you have plus Qobuz and Tidal. Both continue to work fine.
