I’ve never understood that keeping your clients/customers informed is so damn easy these days.
We did have Clare for a while……but i found her rather like being scolded by Grandma, as well as being hot and cold on topics. I got my wish and we are back to nothing😬
Hmm, but Naim is the brand (ditto Focal) and in my experience across other areas of group or other ownership it is usually the brands that communicate about products and supply, and certainly I’ve only seen that from Naim and Focal so it is they I would expect to hear from, whoever might be making decisions.
Yes I got a stern reply once when I welcomed her, don’t think she’d mastered the tone of posts very well.
Well the supply of the new products will start to trickle into this part of the world in 2024 so let’s see what happens
We should cut the new distributor some slack here before cutting them off at the knees.
They have picked up a bit of a basket case and they will need time to train their staff at the 4 service centres that it’s my understanding they have - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland .
A wait and see - if it’s not a success goodbye Naim - simple as that
I think in simple terms, that the main issue here is that the Vervent owners have taken the Naim business in a different direction than the how the niche small business operations work in places like NZ and Australia.
Spot on Mike got it in one
Almost a year since I started this thread. What a mess that 12 months turned out to be. The only positive in my audio world is what I already own continues to give so much pleasure. Let’s hope the next 12 months bring the brand back to something approaching appropriate local representation.
Same here just sit back and enjoy, as for the damage the longer it goes on the harder it’ll be to repair.
Tbh I would be enjoying my music even if I still had my low fi NAD system I had in the late 80s. I’d be free of worrying about racks, cables, power supplies and all that stuff, for me it’s always been about the music.
Well pretty poor show from Westan so far. Not a peep that I’ve heard or read about. And nothing on their website other than the continuing “Page not found”. Surely they had an announcement or two to make in the last week but radio silence continues. I start to wonder if the so called new distributors went ahead?
I was also wondering what on earth is happening. The old meme of the two vultures comes to mind ‘Patience my ass, I want to kill something’
It does seem to be dragging on a bit.
They seem to have got the service side worked out. Harry was going to drive all the way up to pick up my NDX2, a 3 1/2 drive each way. I’m going to drop it off to him later in month.
Apparently it’ll be fixed in Sydney.
Harry and I off to southern highlands tomorrow
God I feel sorry for him.
I wouldn’t let him come this far, that’s way beyond what’s expected.
Yeah I feel sorry for him too ha
I’m in the market for a preamp at or about the NAC332 + NPX 300 PSU price point.
I’m over waiting, I will be getting a quote next week for a Pass XP32 and T+A P 3100 HV preamp.and I’ll have to choose either one.
I like to think that I’m pretty patient, but this wait is insane so I’ll be looking elsewhere.
It’s very possible they won’t wade into the market while there are a pile of boxes A2A are selling at cost.
That’s my thought also - poor buggers how could they with that hanging around
Yeah like what Pete ?
